Dave Hansen is currently the Director of Radiation Effects and Hardening at Space Micro, an engineering-driven supplier of affordable, high-performance, rad-hard systems for space. He has over 20 years in space radiation field with a primary area of focus on radiation induced degradation of semiconductor devices. He has more than 50 papers and his research has covered both the effects on a variety of technologies including non-volatile memories, CMOS ASICs, SiGe, InP and photonic devices, as well as the development of models to predict those effects on orbit.
Dr. Hansen, holds a PhD in Physics from The University of Nevada Las Vegas. Prior to working at Space Micro he spent 9 years as the radiation physicist at Data Device Corporation, and was an Associate Technical Fellow of the Boeing Company.
